🐟🎬 The Source Underneath The Bunker (2022)

The stream starts in a bunker and ends in the parliament. The stream is a cyborg: all its course has been modified by human will. It’s born in a concrete source, flowing from the cement scars to the pipes, crossing through gardens of embassies and epuration station, barely catching a breath in a public park before sinking back into the ground. Crushed by the grand canal it needs its own pump - steel prothesis grafted on its snake body - to return to the surface. It ends in the parliament. From bunker to parliament, from war scars to power wires.

Tanguy is an artist and a designer. He currently works on the concept of interdependency

as an analysis of relations and identities that form and shape the world.

He uses sociology and political ecology through his stories, which take various forms such as paintings, workshops, shows and collective actions.

Animal figures take center stage in his work. Rendered through anthropomorphism and zoomorphism, they break free from rigid boundaries between living beings. Beings of blurry lines, intertwined in and within other livings.

Tanguy worked on these themes in his Master's project « The Butcher » (2023), a collective fiction build around five animals and a theater play. Using writing and acting, the storie seeks to blury the lines between real and fiction. Therefore, it explores the capacity of fiction to challenges understandings of society, and to opens a space for debate.

From September to November 2025, He did residency in Santiago de Chile. Alongside local collectives and researchers, he went on an artistic and sensitive exploration of Quilicura, wetlands threatened by industrial projects. The concept of interdependency is convoked in order to look after the complexe relationships between human and non-human, land's agents, caught between friendship, cooperation and conflicts.

Tanguy's stories are also those of resistances, real or imagined. So is Aujourd'hui is a wild animal, specifically commissioned for the exhibition « Compulsives Desires » (Porto Municipal Gallery). The painting showcases scenes from Covas de Barroso (Portugal), Hambach Forest (Germany) and Lota (Chile). In contrast to the mining industry's logic of subjugating the mountain and its inhabitants, these stories depict the mountain, its forces, and beasts fighting extractivism and countering its defuturing effects through indignation, revenge, celebration, and desire.
